Key Worker

The nursery operates a key worker system which means that each child has one member of staff who takes a special interest in and responsibility for that child.

This worker is also responsible for building close links with the child’s parents and making sure that they have information about their child’s needs and their development and activities at nursery.

This system ensures that each child receives the individual care and attention they need and that observation of their progress is regular and continuous.  However, it must be appreciated that it can be difficult to discuss certain issues with parents at the beginning or end of a long day. Staff have more than your child in their care, therefore, we hold Open Days and Evenings once every term in order to give you the opportunity to visit the nursery and discuss your child’s progress.

Your child’s records and personal profile is always available for you to see. This profile of your child’s progress will accompany your child and be reviewed and up-dated throughout their time with us at Rastrick.
